    Privacy Policy

    Last Updated: April 5, 2026

Look, nobody reads these things. We know that. But since you’re trusting us with some of your information, we want to be upfront about what we collect and why. So we wrote this in plain English, the way we’d explain it to a friend.

    What information do we collect?

There are two ways we end up with your information.

You give it to us. If you leave a comment, fill out our contact form, or sign up for our newsletter, you’re sharing things like your name and email address. We only use that information for the reason you gave it to us. Newsletter subscribers get our reviews. People who contact us get a reply. That’s it.

Your browser sends it automatically. Every time you visit any website, your browser shares some basic technical details with that site’s server. Things like your IP address, what type of device you’re on, which pages you looked at, and how you found us. We use this to figure out what content people actually find useful, and to keep the site running smoothly.

What do we do with it?

We use your information to run the site, reply to your messages, send the newsletter you asked for, and keep an eye out for spam or anything suspicious.

We also use it to understand which reviews people actually find helpful, so we can write more of those and less of the stuff nobody reads.

If you give us permission, we also use it to show relevant ads. But we’ll ask first.

    Cookies

Yes, we use cookies. Most websites do. Cookies are tiny files that get saved on your device. They help the site remember your preferences and give us a basic idea of how people are using the site.

The cookies we use fall into three buckets: ones that make the site work properly, ones that tell us how people are using it, and ones related to ads (only if you say yes to those).

When you first land on our site, a small banner will pop up asking what you’re okay with. You can say yes to all, no to all, or pick and choose. If you change your mind later, look for “Manage Cookies” at the bottom of the page.

    Affiliate links and ads

Affiliate links. A lot of our reviews include links to Amazon or other retailers. If you click one and buy something, we get a small cut of the sale. It costs you nothing extra. We want to be clear about this because it’s how we keep the lights on. That said, it does not change what we recommend. We have written plenty of negative reviews for products with affiliate links, and we will keep doing that.

Google AdSense. We show ads on this site through Google AdSense. Google uses cookies to figure out which ads to show you, based on your browsing history across the web. If you want to turn off personalized ads from Google, you can do that at google.com/settings/ads. Google has its own privacy policy that explains exactly how they handle your data, and you can read it at policies.google.com/privacy.

Other sites we link to. When you click a link and leave our site, the other site’s privacy policy takes over. We have no control over what they collect or how they use it, so it is worth checking their policy if you are sharing anything sensitive with them.

How long do we keep your data?

We do not hold onto things longer than we need to. Newsletter email addresses stay until you unsubscribe. Contact form messages get deleted within a few months once we have dealt with your question. General site log data typically gets cleared out after 12 to 24 months.

    Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have the right to ask us what data we hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, ask us to delete it, or tell us to stop using it in certain ways. You can also take back any permission you previously gave us.

To do any of these things, just email us at contact@deepreviewlab.com and we will sort it out.

If you are based in the EU, UK, or California, you have extra protections under GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA. We are aware of these rules and we follow them.

    Questions?

Shoot us an email at contact@deepreviewlab.com. We actually read these and reply.
