The OnePlus Watch 4 has just shown up in what looks like its final retail packaging, and the photos give away a lot more than OnePlus probably wanted out in the open. Between the color names, the importer list, and a quality-check date printed right on the box, this leak pretty much lays out the launch roadmap for us.
Tipster Erencan Yilmaz posted the images on X this week, showing front and back shots of two retail boxes with the model number OPWWE261. That number lines up with earlier certification sightings, so there’s no real doubt we’re looking at the genuine article here.
Two Finishes, One of Them Already Named
The first box shows a silver-toned watch paired with a green silicone band. The second one swaps that out for a dark grey case with a dark blue strap. Both versions look to use the same watch body, with only the colorways and band styles setting them apart.
What’s interesting is the name on the packaging itself. Apple is calling the green-banded model “Evergreen Titanium,” which sounds a lot more like a finished retail label than some placeholder name an intern typed up. If you’ve been hoping for something other than the usual black or silver smartwatch, this might be the one worth waiting for.
Launch Regions and Timing Clues
Flip the box over and you’ll find a list of importers covering the UK, the European Union, and Poland. That basically confirms a wide rollout from day one rather than the China-first approach OnePlus has taken in the past. More markets could come later, but these three are locked in for the initial wave.
The more telling detail is tucked in the corner of the label: a quality-check date of March 30, 2026. That single stamp suggests units were already going through final inspection by late March, which usually means mass production started a week or two before that. Combine that with retail boxes now being photographed in the wild and a recent EEC certification passing in Europe, and a launch within the next few weeks feels almost certain.
Specs That Look Very Familiar
Here’s where things get a bit less exciting. Based on earlier leaks and a Google Play Console listing spotted by XpertPick, the OnePlus Watch 4 is expected to run on a 1.5-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 466 x 466 resolution. Inside the 47mm case sits a Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chip, 2GB of RAM, and a 646mAh battery.
If those numbers feel like déjà vu, that’s because they basically match the Watch 3 from last year. The software situation is a little murkier. Some leaks point to Wear OS 5.0 out of the box, while the certification paperwork lists Wear OS 6.0. Shipping a brand-new watch with last year’s software would be a weird move, so we’re hoping the certification leak is the one that pans out.
One legitimate upgrade worth noting is the durability rating. The Watch 4 is tipped to carry an IP69 rating, a step up from the IP68 on the Watch 3. That means better resistance to high-pressure water and higher temperatures, which actually matters if you wear your watch during workouts or outdoor activities.
What the Retail Box Tells Us About Charging
The leaked packaging also hints at 10W charging support on the Watch 4. That’s not a massive jump on paper. But charging speed is one of those daily-use features that adds up over time. A fully topped-up watch in under an hour makes a real difference, especially when you’re rushing out the door in the morning.
Should You Actually Wait for This One?
That depends on what you’re after. If you already own the Watch 3, there’s nothing here that screams upgrade. Upgrading from an older Wear OS watch? Or been eyeing OnePlus for a while? The refined build, better water resistance, and fresh color options make the Watch 4 a reasonable pick.
The real question is the price tag. A lower sticker than the Watch 3 would instantly make this thing a lot more interesting. Anything higher, and OnePlus is going to have a hard time selling people on what’s essentially a refresh with the same internals.
Official word should drop any day now. Until then, this packaging is pretty much the closest thing we have to a launch announcement.
